How to make easy baked sardines
Learn how to prepare baked sardines , they are easy to make and very delicious. The key is in marinating and using olive oil without mercy.
Sardines are one of the most tasty fish that exist. Many often ignore them, while others only know them for their canned version. But hey, there is nothing more delicious than eating some magnificent baked sardines, marinated with garlic, parsley, onion and plenty of olive oil.
And that is precisely what this recipe is about.
This is one of the simplest ways to prepare fresh sardines. You just make a marinade and the baked kitchens are delicious!
Baked sardines recipe
In this recipe I used sardines previously filleted by the fish vendor. You can also use them whole and just let them roast in the oven for a couple more minutes.
- ½ kilo of fresh sardine fillets
- ½ onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- A few leaves of parsley
- Olive oil
Preparing oven-baked sardines:
- Thoroughly clean sardines, which do not have scales or excess spines.
- Chop the onion, garlic and parsley in very small squares. If you prefer, you can use an electric mincer.
- Mix the sardines with the onion, garlic and parsley. Add salt, pepper and a generous stream of olive oil.
- Leave marinating for one hour in a covered container, meanwhile, preheat the oven to 150 ° C.
- On a tray place all the sardines with the skin down. Put them in the oven for 15 minutes or until they are cooked. Remember, and this is very important, that sometimes ovens have higher temperatures, or lower than those indicated, so you should be careful not to burn or lack cooking after the time indicated in the recipe.
- Remove the sardines, turn them over and peel them again for 5 more minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve. You can add another squirt of olive oil at the time of eating.
